2024/25 David Moyes

When Dyche came in we beat a better Arsenal team than this threadbare Spurs team.

It's way too early to be passing judgement on a comparison between Dyche and Moyes.
I’ll make a comparison he beat a good arsenal team 1st game from that to parking buses at home to Southampton he lacked in any sort of ideas to change and had his favourites who he picked regardless of form. Same sh@& different day since we threw away a two goal lead first game of the season.nothing was changing with dyche players had no confidence in themselves or eachother.today I seen a team that were more lively looked more up for it and played football like they were footballers.Sean dyche would have set us up to not have possession.park 2 buses and hang on for 0-0 he did this every game park the bus he knew nothing else and he would have done this against the threadbare spurs team

Still think Dyche is a better manager now @davek?

I knew that Spurs were no great shakes and i was confident enough about winning this game.

Has this actually happened, have i seen an Everton team actually score three goals?
First time we have been 3 - 0 up at half time at home since 2017...

Dyche would have been happy with a 0-0!

It might be worth noting that the players visibly tired from 60 minutes onwards as they had exerted far more energy pressing and playing higher up the pitch, than they ever did while camped on the edge of their own box and hoofing it back to the opposition all day under the former manager. They will get fitter as they learn the system I have no doubt.
And drill the players on the bench to continue the same. Especially I’d we have made a platform for a win as we had today.

That’s the most positive Goodison has been in a while today after being used to so much awful football. Attacking play is looking much better already after a week of Moyes in charge. Sure it’s still early days, but I think things are looking up. Especially if we can bring in a couple of decent players before the end of Jan.

Up the toffees!
One of the pleasing aspects of his post match press conference was when he said the need for new players. He’s seen a lot of the squad over 2 games. But he’s not stupid, he’ll have watched our games previously and know exactly what we need. Let’s hope he gets the players in this week he needs.

It's a good win but not enough evidence to form an opinion...and the way we ended that game was alarming.
Your not wrong, one win doesn’t solve the problems just like one loss doesn’t deserve us to proclaim he should be sacked.

To early to judge any of what we have seen from Moyes or the owners. This club needs time to heal the years of managed decline and poor recruitment.
