2024/25 David Moyes

Is he? Again he was quizzed on his future here on MOTD and he chose to focus on this season's relegation struggle.

We'll see.

I think we can all agree we need a new manager who can take us to another level this summer. That was TFG plan and I believe they'll return to it.
Moyes will take us to another level compared to the last three managers

The man oozes class honestly think he is a better manager than when he left. He has learnt alot of West ham and being in Europe. The idea he was a sidestep from Dyche is a joke. He has saved and rebuilt multiple teams over the years. Its so good to have a manager that loves the club and connects with the fans again. If it's partly nostalgia I don't care.

He’s certainly made a difference, I said before Dyche went that a new man could say the say things and get a better response. I think Moyes’ affinity for the club has aided the new manager bounce. I was at the Villa game, not much detectable improvement there but Spurs was encouraging with the style and pattern changes introduced in a short time.

Today’s game against Brighton I feel is a match that last season’s Dyche would have won, but not this season’s.

700 PL games and he looks genuinely enthused to be back here, even though there are still some hurdles.

Carried himself brilliantly in all interviews so far. Hugely respectful of the club, the players, fanbase and very honest. I don’t mind him pointing out the solidity that Dyche built in the back line.

Best thing is he wants to see us right for the benefit of the club and fans, rather than his own CV. This will be his last job in the dugout. He loved grinding that one out today.

Yes 'scum'.

Maybe you and everyone else need reminding that this feller wouldn't allow Howard Kendall - our most decorated manager, and a fantastic and successful player for the club - into Finch Farm while he was manager.

I dont know what alternative word you'd use for a man who dishonoured Kendall like that but I think scum is appropriate, tbh.

🐀
Didnt kendall desert us for Spain?

Yeah was thinking that. We got Preston manager Moyes back then. He only went and took west ham from the gutter turned them onto a regular European outfit and only ruddy won a European cup. And straight into Everton manager from that.

I hope we can give him the time to build us up. Football is very cut throat now.

We maybe back to sqaure one in a nose dive if he goes again.

No, he was denied though the murder of 39 people his chance to manage in Europe and left Everton after winning 3 titles, an FA Cup and a ECWC as player and manager.

If you want to call that desertion be my guest.

No Dave, we don't all agree that we need a new manager in the summer. What we need right now is some stability and something to build on beyond relegation. Which is exactly what Moyes brings. So like it or not, he's going nowhere. At the minimum, he's here still the end of 26-27.
