2024/25 David Moyes

The Dyche stuff is just weird to be honest. Some people come across as genuinely unhinged with it, every post comes across like they're bashing at the keyboard with a foaming mouth. He did a good job for a bit, then he started to struggle and he was rightly sacked. It happens. He's gone and Moyes (who's always been a superior manager to Dyche anyway) has come in and improved us - what's not to like?
He wasn't sacked mate.

The job is also completely different now.

PS&R headroom will be different. Transfer budgets and approach will be different.

Dyche was a man for the job at the time. Poor defensive minded squad, sell to profit and comply regime, points deductions inbound, absentee board, club being sold.

The job over next few seasons is completely different. Hence a different manager was always required. It’s like laughing at your patio bloke because you’ve not hired him to build an extension. Bizarre.

If you check my posts from last season i praised him. So you're very wrong.
Right from the start of this season we've been diabolical. He shouldnt have been anywhere near Everton this season.
Your little comments like new owners change managers isnt fooling anyone.
He was given the boot because he was so bad this season.

Are they little because the text is smaller or do they only look that way when viewed through extreme paranoia?

Extreme paranoia. And hullicinations. I hullicinated that we had scored 15 goals from 19 games and were not even registering a single shot on target in games.
But i was so glad to come on here and read the dychettes plumping up their bouffants telling us to be grateful.
Great days.

Its like this, if Moyes ever goes 4months without winning a League game I want him sacked, I want him sacked after 2months, never mind 4.

Dyche quit, he couldnt handle the job, thats ok, not everybody is mentally strong enough to lead this great club.

But Moyes is here now, so the he said, she said, it dont matter, just get behind our Gaffer and hope he wins football games, if he doesnt, then sack the clown and go next.

To quote the official announcement “he was relieved of his duties”.

Sacked/left by mutual consent/relieved of his duties are all ways for the Board to make you fill a bin bag with your personal possessions.

Each term just gives the leaving manager a different level of embarrassment to deal with with the media.

A change of manager was inevitable upon change of ownership.

When Dyche took over from Lampard there was an immediate improvement which was needed to rescue the club from an extremely dangerous situation

Now Moyes has taken over and is doing very well. Hopefully we can achieve the objective for this season and get to the new stadium as as a PL team. From there it’s hopefully onwards and upwards with Moyes over the next few seasons.

It doesn’t have to be this silly either or game that some are trying to perpetuate, if you liked Lampard you don’t like Dyche, and those who liked Dyche are fuming because Moyes is winning games etc.

Most Everton fans I know just want us to be winning games, most respect the job Dyche did at the time for us, most are now behind Moyes pushing us forward.

There doesn’t need to be a one or the other dichotomy.

This is an observable thing that is happening though.

Spot on this.

Also when managers take jobs they are selling their ability to the club that they can win football matches with what they have available.
They are ok signing on the multi million pound dotted line but then cry injuries, recruitment, etc.
