2024/25 David Moyes

Probably have a bit but with new shirt sponsor stadium as well could help massively. Don't think is going be a crazy summer that we can go to any price but will have room to spend more that we have
I posited the other day, I'll be amazed at 3 first teamers brought in. We'll get a couple of loans and maybe a free or two. I also think we'll retain at least two.

I wonder what the score is with Young (doing his badges and) staying on in a reduced capacity for 12 months. Unless he's desperate for a contract in the mls?

I can't be ringed with going over the ever depressing psr highlights and conjectures, we lose one of the problem years we were burdened with, but we've been penalised anyhow, we haven't continued the recklessness.

I'd like a top half finish, it'd be a fine achievement for this season, and a small boost to the coffers on top of a note of success for the side.

Totally agree Bri but if we rate Branthwaite as a £90 million generational talent player then we need to pay him accordingly.

Can you see us paying him in excess of £200 k per week?
No I couldn't mate. I think the best that might be done is to ask him to sign an extension with an agreement that we wouldn't stand in his way if an offer of a certain amount came in.
Certainly keep him for next season and then see what happens.

The issue is 100% up to June 30th mate. We are definitely running at a loss that will have to be balanced. That’s the bill Moyes is talking about.

Once that date passes, we’re fine.

Essentially we have to mitigate the last season under Moshiri, then the after burners turn on July 1st.

Shows what a farce PSR is we have to likely sell to comply on June the 30th then could spend 100s of millions the next day.

Which was that club we did the mess about with for Henry Onyekuru? Sell Beto to IFK Athens for £40m on Thursday, buy him back for £40m on the Saturday.

This football finance lark is a doddle.

Be a few million mate, as will taking on Moyes, 6 mill I think would be conservative, add it to the PSR bill.
Paid on the drip over the duration of his contract. He's not actually kept us up officially yet (same for gravel pit). I look at the squad though and think there's no fat on it to trim, no Kenny or Davies to cash in on (not that we did). Mangala loan hasn't expired has it, he's just back at parent club. Maybe Broja, Mangala, Lindstrom, Alcaraz will all be managed over the summer for a few months and then signed back on deadline day, alleviating wages for us for that period. There's also the added win of maupay's colossal fee arriving.

We had to do Godfrey and Dobbin the year before, call that £25 mill give or take, hopefully the number is less then that.

Sadly Beto and Branthwaite look the most likely as far as I can see….Maybe McNeill.
