They haven't literally said that, no. But the view is that this has been smooth running so far. I say there's signs in there that we've been hopeless on occasion (Villa, Bourenmouth, 2nd half today) and we've been hanging on in some games (Spurs) and hanging on and playing hardly any football (Brighton).
We've been impressive in the derby and against Leicester.
We're not Real Madrid. It's a limited group of players, albeit Moyes has let a few off the leash to show what they're capable of (i.e. Beto).
Only disappointment for me was Bournemouth because the cup is open this season with a lot of big guns already out, but we were excellent in the second half and should have forced extra time, we just had a bad first half. He'd been back for about 2 minutes when we played Villa so no time to really instill anything.
We were never going down this season because the promoted teams are too weak but if Dyche stayed then it would have been a more depressing end to Goodison. We're playing better football and getting better results.
