2024/25 David Moyes

We need new players (and a lot of them) in the summer. Changing managers again in the summer (and using a lot of any budget we have) would do nothing to help if we have mostly the same players again next season.
Oh, I agree. But I maintain his return was for short-term gain - necessary - and will come with a cost., i.e., The "reboot" has now been delayed.

Moyes has done well - but he's never the answer in even the medium term. But he's here now and will be stolid, competent, and professional. And that'll have to do for now.

I think we need to test the waters here. Until McNeil and Ndiaye are fully fit, we should try Tim or Chermo to support Beto. Either switch to a 442 or put Tim in Doucore's free roaming role. It's a missed opportunity every day we don't do it. We already know Doucore is being phased out and needs to be improved upon. We might actually find some depth while we have more of a dead duck season. Now is better a time than any.

Think it’s harsh blaming Moyes for tonight. We’ve had chances to take the lead, it unravelled after Harrison ballsed that breakaway up. Hopefully now we have players coming back from injury it’s the last we see of him and hopefully be the last we see of Doucoure as well.
If we're going to give the manager a pass - and I don't think any of us need to nail him to the cross for tonight - we have got to accept the squad just isn't up to it. We need massive change in the summer. These players are simply not good enough if we want to go to Anfield with genuine expectation of even a point.

I'm not too down tonight as I didn't give us a prayer - for various reasons, one of which was the paucity of talent at the manager's disposal.

We've just played the champions elect. What do people want? We are bang average at best, had enough chances in the first half to make them pay. Not on the manager. Subs were crap like but so is the squad.

First half I thought we had a go and should have scored. That second half was empty. .

Let’s not forget it becomes pretty tiresome of this routine time and again of us being like this, it’s understandable frustration creeps in after years and years of it.

You're kidding?

I'd be all over criticising Dyche.

So Moyes is not getting away with it. Not good enough. He bottled it as he normally does against the RS.

Our fans overreact after a Derby so much. People saying Moyes not the answer / honeymoon period over blah blah.

After losing 1-0 against league leaders in a tight game that could have easily been a draw.

Moyes has earned the right to go into the new stadium, and to try and shape the new era, hopefully with some more money to spend to build a better squad that he is happy with.

Do you think he WANTS to be playing Jack Harrison, coz I can tell you now by his reaction when Jack messed up the counter attack we had, he does not.

You can only work with what you've got. And he knows we need better quality in the team.

Wouldnt say bottled agree the subs feel he got wrong as would have liked ndiaye and broja as the wingers alcaraz behind beto. Would prob be what id try rest of the season until mcneil back fit then try it out with him in the team. That and give tim a start aswell so we can get a good look at players for next season
