2024/25 David Moyes

Means nothing other than those English teams are having good cup runs. It tells you next to nothing about the competitiveness of the PL or the quality of the 'big 6' teams.

Spurs 16th
United 14th
City and Chelsea on 50 odd points with 5 games to go in the season.

All that tells me this league is opening up.

With a great managerial appointment we can get ourselves right up there again.

But most will say: "just get Moyes to get us safe".

What a palaver.

That’s all you asked of the last manager. You thought 28 points would’ve been acceptable because it would’ve kept us up.

Then, you wanted Gareth Southgate to come in to “just keep us up”

Gareth Southgate.

Both sides were without their 2 number 9s, who are both considered the best in the league.

And KDB or Doucs at 10? there arent many clubs who would take that ginger fella.
Who, in any universe, considers our No 9 is "the best in the league" alongside that Norwegian fella with the funny haircut? Whomever it is needs immediate and lasting psychological attention.

He’s done a fantastic job and is the best manager we’ve had here…..since he was last here, despite what some revisionists will tell you.

We were in a spiral under Dyche and loads will say “yeah but Ipswich have only gained 4 points since etc” Fact is us and Wolves were the bottom threes target and we’ve pretty much whipped every bit of hope away from them.

He’s also made going to Goodison enjoyable again after so much negativity and antifootball

Let him rebuild this squad and create a proper PL team, then over the next few years in a new stadium we can do some proper planning for the next manager

I hope he doesn't cock up the in-game management again like he did yesterday, or we won't have moved on that much since our last few managers. I hope I'm wrong but that deja vu feeling of Moyes and his stubborn game plans has started to creep into my bones. Obviously he fully deserves to be supported as much as possible in the rest of this season and the months that follow, but has he changed or improved that much since he left us? I know he delivered something relatively special for West Ham, but will that ultimately prove to be the high point of his career?

If this league is as bad as Davek claims it to be, Moyes is the perfect manager to push us up the table. Why gamble on some hipster dork like Foncesa?

It’s a shame in the world of social media this even needs saying, but you have people backing Putin and Trump so it was always going to happen.
