2024/25 David Moyes

Nobody thinks the frailties and mentality issues are solved immediately, they're deep rooted.

But it seems like you're choosing the one thing that can't really be solved 'just like that' and blaming it on Moyes to suit your agenda against him? We've been mentally poor for many, many years now, it's not going to suddenly disappear after 1 game.

However, nearly everything else is so much better. Why focus on the 1 negative instead of the many, many positives... I think we know why.

I dont have an agenda. I simply remind everyone about what he himself did to Everton in the past: his disloyalty and his driving down of our credibility to make himself look better than us...that we should be grateful for him.

The football will be mediocre and never capable of making us a force.

People will revolt against Moyes within a year if he stays. Many have forgotten just how lumpen the football was under him last time and how lacking in ambition he was.

Best all round for us and him if he leaves in the summer.

I don't breath oxygen. I exist on purest will power.

How many weeks has he been back in the job?

West Ham fans never liked his football but he got them 3 years in Europe in a row from a similar standing start.

Think you underestimate how much people have been scarred by the last 5 years. Plenty are going to like the stability Moyes brings. I'd imagine people on this forum will shout for him to replaced in the summer after every defeat between now and the season's end, but they will be the minority.

I'm also in no doubt he has the ambition to win and make us a better club. He at least knows our history and what we once were. You can't always guarantee that with a new managerial appointment.

Think in hs head he still has something to prove and this is the last chance he will get.

I wondered the same of Dyche but he really bottled it this season.

It's damning evidence as every game goes by just how out of his depth Dyche had gotten and didn't have the learning capacity to change. His tactics weren't working but he persisted with them and blamed the players. Players who are scoring for fun now.

In the space of not many weeks I am now really looking forward to the summer transfer activity. I don't feel we'll be in a relegation scrap or anywhere near it, with Moyes at the helm. obviously Irvine and Billy are doing good work with the squad. they seem happier(not hard like)

Hopefully that's the end of Dyche and his outdated methods from the top flight for good. It's mental when 2nd division teams were playing better football than us.

Until our CL form dips and he stops heading in the right direction over a long period then maybe.

Unless we absolutely fall off a cliff between now and the end of the season then he is here next season.

One thing im very happy about is the way we play, for me thats Everton, no tippy tappy stuff, no lumping it upfield, its a bit of everything.
Aggressive
Play on the deck when we can
Front foot from the off
Launch it when needed
Building momentum
Avoiding passing back to Pickford if possible
He has got almost all the players 'in form'

He literally couldnt of done much more than what he is doing now

Play the same way but with better quality players in the summer and we could be very surprising next season.

Sounds like you're describing Dyche there Dave.

Dyche also didn't care beyond the pay cheque. That's fine while things are going well but his lack of warmth to the club made sure he had very few fighting his corner when the form turned.
