2024/25 David Moyes

We aren't on the Patterson thread mate. Seriously, take a bit of time away. Today is a good day and you're digging fellow blues out, it's pointless.

Once again, I am responding to a stranger on the internet.

You seem to think you have a positive message to share? I'm not seeing one.

As others posted, YOU DIDNT WATCH THE GAME.

Praising Moyes for his terrible team selection.

The team only clicking into gear after Alcaraz (who you dont seem to rate) and Beto (who you dont rate) got onto the pitch.

But praising Doucoure...over and over after 93mins of embarassment -- then spouting how he was man of the match.

Yet claiming youre a better Evertonian than others because you cheered a meaningless goal.

You keep relaying your stories about playing football and living in a road of Everton footballers...football for dummies eh.

Youre more of a Moyes arselicker than anyone on here.

YOU DID NOT WATCH THE GAME.
I did watch the game, and I reckon they played well not brilliantly but okay and thought they deserved the win.
And sorry but I want Everton to win every game till the end of the season and win everyone next season.
Best 11 take the pitch for my money.

Moyes' tactics were spot on. That and perhaps Forest had an off-day (Elanga a sub and Wood + Murillo poor) with pressure or tiredness?

Your last sentence...are you inferring that this:

Harrison....Doucoure...Ndiaye...
...................Broja

Is superior to;

McNeil......Alcaraz....Ndiaye
...................Beto

Because for me, there is no way Moyes either went with the best players nor did he have an eye on next season.

I have no complaints on points, tactics or suchlike but he should be using our better players and trying to see if partnerships gel in these 'meaningless' games.

Everyone wants to win every match.

But lets be honest here -- its short term thinking to see Broja, Doucoure and Harrison playing. They arent the better players, they dont 'deserve' a starting place and they arent going to bring the club success.

When that Doucoure goal went in my first reaction wasnt to cheer. I just sat back and thought Moyes will now continue to favour Doucoure, Harrison and Broja.

Big picture...they shouldnt be playing.

"just because Moyes is the manager"

Wtf is this? Ive given Moyes a lot of praise!

Perhaps you should have a little lie down and think about why people have different viewpoints to you?

As ive repeatedly said - Moyes has done very well with results. But he should be using players that can take the club forward next season.

The season is dead. Its over. He's saved the club (that never gets relegated) from relegation.

The only thing to play for is league position and to try and build something from existing players on our books -- hes not doing this.

When a filthy little arselicker claims to be an "Evertonian" and claiming that celebrating a 94th minute winner makes them a better "Evertonian" than someone else...

...it says a heck of a lot about them.

Lost me? We setup brilliantly, but with players who shouldnt be at the club.

Can celebrate a meaningless 3pts OR look at it for what it is -- a frightening sign that Doucoure, Harrison and perhaps Broja will be staying at the club.

….my word, he’s totally lost it again.

Evertonians can get things wrong but an Evertonian who doesn’t want his team to win because it proves he’s very wrong is not a ‘proper Evertonian’.

We saw yesterday that you didn’t want Doucoure to score a 94th minute winner, you were totally gutted. None of us should ever forget that, I know I won’t.

Perhaps you could highlight precisely where I said I didnt want the team to win?

"We saw yesterday that you didn’t want Everton to score a 94th minute winner"

Its just lie after lie after lie with you isnt it.

You didnt even watch the game according to other posters :)

Enjoy drinking your rum with all your fake footballer neighbours talking about how you used to play for Liverpool.

Fabulous internet persona lol

You seem more of a Moyes fan than an Evertonian to me.

…you should seriously think of taking a break away from here for a few days, maybe even take a break from your computer games.

You seem to have a superiority complex.

Claiming I am not an Evertonian and trying to dig out a stranger on the internet.

The absolute state of you. Try watching the games before claiming to be something better than others.

I pity you.

Mate you said you didn’t celebrate a 94th minute winner. Why do you watch football?

The seasons not over, we’re in April. The majority of football teams fans can’t achieve anything - do we all stop watching in March?

You’ve contradicted yourself, ‘league position and build something with existing players on our books’ - I’d argue that’s exactly what he’s doing. Broja doesn’t play yesterday otherwise. Patterson last week as well, and Tim. What you mean is your Argentinian loanee isn’t getting enough games so you didn’t celebrate a last gasp winner.

There’s still plenty of points to play for, we could catch Bournemouth and Brentford, he’s putting in good foundations for how we will set up next season and that will allow us to recruit coherently.

You seem pretty on edge recently as well, hope everything is alright - genuinely think if you can’t celebrate a 94th minute winner for your team then you’ve lost sight of why you followed football in the first place. It’s not serving its purpose for you if you only get excited about seeing new players come through.
