I hear if you win 5 of them you receive a £50 Nando’s gift voucher.not push on for his ego trip to allow the likes Of Pennington etc to play to allow him to win the coveted PL2 trophy.
Because we live in the age of the pantomime where unqualified owners try to pacify raging entitled fans with a succession of media friendly decisions, to buy the owners more time. As they’re not qualified and those same angry fans agitate for more change after understandable dips during non linear progress, then the owners create the damaging boom bust cycle which will eventually cause the owner failure.I think every club has ex players on their coaching staff. It's not a bad thing provided it's not at the expense of ability/credentials. I'd care more/work harder for Everton than I would Bristol City. It only becomes an issue when that replaces ability/credentials. Our new DOF - his only interview he bangs on about his Everton connections despite being a Kopite. All a bit weird.
As a side note - I find it interesting how the managers at top flight clubs - our own, Villa's, Crystal Palace's etc tend to be managers of high profile/who were top quality players. Why aren't mediocre ex players getting top jobs anymore? Eh, eh, eh?!
Feel I've missed the boat becoming a professional footballer with those kinds of riches on offer.I hear if you win 5 of them you receive a £50 Nando’s gift voucher.
The sooner this club has no fans the better.Because we live in the age of the pantomime where unqualified owners try to pacify raging entitled fans with a succession of media friendly decisions, to buy the owners more time. Other than Davies (arguably) and Dom, all of them are not Premier league quality players.Agreed he's developed loads of good quality players like Dowell, Kenny, Ledson, Connolly, Davies etc who have unfortunately fell a bit short at the final hurdle.
That last step up is a massive step. Calvert Lewin arguably is down to Unsworth too.
I’d be more than happy if he did succeed; if he thrives and succeeds, he should always be considered for the big job.Hopefully he does well elsewhere and dispels the jobs for the boys shout.
Could be a potential Everton managerial candidate in years to come if so.
We've genuinely had a few of them though to be fair, it's just that most of them have ended up in the first team or being sold for less, but that isn't really on him. I genuinely have no opinion either way on him because I just don't think it's easy to judge at that level, especially when you don't know what his instructions from above are. I think a lot of the criticism of him is unfair and unfounded for that reason, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.Even if we just start to bring through a few Championship standard players that we can sell on for £5m-ish it’ll be an improvement.
