Bradley is a solid starter for B. Gladbach. I think he would have trouble getting on the pitch with Arteta, Rodwell, Fellani and to a lesser extent Neville and Johnny H in the center of the midfield. He's difficult for me to figure out how good he is. To me he always seems his best as a Cahill type goal scoring midfielder in and around the box but he plays DM both for club and the USMNT.

Alot of USMNT "fans" don't like him and say he's just in the lineup b/c of his dad however he belongs in the starting 11. I will admit that his dad sometimes keeps him on the pitch too long b/c he has a penchant to run himself silly and throw in bad challenges at the end of matches, resulting in yellow/red cards.

I agree with everything you said. When I said that he wasnt good enough to play for Everton, I meant that hes not good enough to get past the current starting midfielders we have. He would probably be better at a club towards the lower end of the table.

On other players, agree w/ Bill Shalrie Joseph may be best player to never make it out of MLS. I honestly believe he could've been real impact player in EPL. Not a squad player, impact.

New England turned down offers from Celtic twice for Shalrie. He is the best holding mid in the league. When Dempsey was with the Revs, he was never more than the second best player in the squad. The only reason Shalrie has not been fixture in the U.S. squad is that he foolishly got himself cap-tied to Grenada at a young age. (If he were on the pitch instead of Reyna in 2006.....*arrgh*)

And, when he's out...he is now....we suck.

Young players -- buy cheap now, loan out....

Steve Zakuani, Seattle -- since he's English anyway work permits etc aren't a problem.

Can't really think of anyone else -- Kevin Alston, New England's young right back - may develop into something special but it's far far too early to tell.

Luis Gil.....remember the name. I have watched a lot of players coming out of the USA national camps, and this is one to remember. Really young and wants to stay in the US for now. Probably, in my mind, a force in the future. Maybe a true star. And in the US, a lot more to follow as soccer here picks up.
