It's hard to compare, perhaps on the same level i'd guess. However have to remember Feynoord have been miles away from PSV and Ajax until last season

They have been miles away from those teams over the last few years, but they're currently better than Gent I'd say

As has been said, that's not what he said at all mate. He did the exact reverse of that: allowed Pogba to take up the vacuum left by Klaassen when the latter wandered off.

In other words: Mourinho felt the threat from Klaassen was not worth snuffing out and that he'd come unstuck against a wall of defensive players. Now that is something he'd be tasked with doing if he ever came here: break down a bank of deep sitting DMFs and a back four.

We need someone a bit more cuter on the ball to break open defences.

Klaassen looks the typical jack of all trades master of none to me: adequate in all departments but doesn't have the engine or pace for a box to box MF; not really a player who sits and holds; not a classical No.10.

I didn't say we could get one. I said Klaassen is not that - as well as not being anything else as specific.

We would do well better going after Osako from Cologne. He plays wide right and drifts in to become part of the attack. He's from a quality league and could bring through young Dowell into the bargain.

I dont see where he fits in, tbh.

Maybe you could suggest his starting position and who makes way? He may have played in behind the striker or headed a midfield three but I seriously doubt he's an upgrade on Barkley.

Ive been at pains to state it over and over again, Ronny doesnt favour a traditional number 10.

Klassen will play as a number 8, alongside Ross, like so :

Look mate, I dont doubt he has the required technique and vision that would have been part and parcel of his club's programme. My doubt is that he has only played in Eredivisie and that they may not transfer well. It will be much faster and more physical than in Holland and that has an unhappy knack of destroying the time required for vision and distribution.

Take it from me: what you see Klaassen being able to do week in week out over there is something that he will not be able to do over here. Can he adapt? Maybe. But €30M looks like a massive gamble to find out.

I would swerve the Dutch league and focus on La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A imports. No offence, but your league is now a backwater. Sorry.
