Why do still wear them then lol Those platform boots wear a mare - plus flared kecks I wore parallel kecks with Dr Martins
I morphed from a skinhead to hippy in record time. Wasn't going to pull any birds as a skinhead in Uni.

Guilty as charged. I remember a hooped tank top over penny round collar shirt with fairies on it.🫣

Haha, hold my beer, mine was a dark blue, spotted penny round, a light blue striped, patterned tank top with two tone parallel pants, I take consolation that it was the glam rock era....oh and much preferred the new romantic music to the punk rock crap. Though I did really like the Stranglers at the time.

….my formative years, I remember it for terrific music but that might be tinged with nostalgia.

Everton had arguably its greatest ever title winning team and it was when I signed for the RS, played at plenty of famous grounds and scored loads of goals ;)
Mine as well, Eggs. Great music, awful clothing, horrible autos, and I didn't know Everton football from apple butter, being in the USA.

Looks like I missed most of the good stuff sourced from Everton in the 70's and 80's, but I'm still here. Got to enjoy a couple of undefeated seasons for my respective NFL and NCAA basketball teams, and learned how to deal with female rejection on a continuing basis and persist despite it. I did (and played) 'the Hustle' and 'the Bump', despite the fact that if I could dance I wouldn't be in the band.

It was good to be in the band then. Remember bands with horn sections that played Tower of Power covers? Ahhh, that was heaven.
