Was only a whippersnapper but remember the great music of all things in the 70's
Santana , Creedence , Eagles , Doors , Blue Oyster Cult , Led Zep, Ramones , True greats like Marvin Gaye even the Saturday night fever stuff.
Most of all David Bowie , had a serious influence on my music taste forever.

Life was pretty grim with the blackouts , strikes and almost food rationing.
We never had much , but also never much to moan about.
Oh and none of the sicko social media stuff that poisons people's minds.
Not a bad era all in all.

I have been noticing some well reasoned debate on the forum, discussing exactly how should the 1970s be remembered.
Was this a magical decade full of exotic tinned food and cheeky hooligan football fans or should this be remembered as the decade that invented working class Tories and chronic acne?

Thought it was the 80's that invented working class Tories myself, right to buy Council houses, yuppies, greed is good society..

'I am not a crook!' Ahhhhh, the good old days when if the president is a slimy two-faced cretin, he gets held accountable for it and resigns in shame...

AND not getting a chance at running for a second term after been voted out of voice, inciting a riot, multiple indictments and charges of fraud, and so forth... 🤦‍♂️

So true! So sad how things have changed for the worse.
