….met my future wife in 1976 and we celebrated 40 years of marriage last week. Started a Civil Service career in ‘75 that gave me and my family security throughout my working life and into a very comfortable retirement.

I got married in 1974 and I look back at the rest of that decade as now just a thankfully distant, but still Hellish nightmare.

Adidas kick ,cheapest, so everyone had.
Khaki canvas
Lois and Lee jeans.
Black levis canvas.
College shoes.
Kicker boots ,really expensive.
Baseball boots...not converse.
Kids often wearing school uniform to play out in,nothing else .
Tough times, definitely, but just got on with it.

I was telling my son about dogs being let out all day but even though you would get the odd bite you never seemed to hear about dogs causing deaths like you do now. Maybe they can be too domesticated?
