Really depends on your age during that era. I turned 7 in 1970 it seemed bouncy and fun at the beginning, Banana Splits, long hot summers, Fray Bentos pies that could feed a family of four.
But the second half was Reaganomics, Thatcherism, labour push backs and Punk as a result. As a teen then I saw some amazing bands, went on marches, started earning and travelling with Everton.
Lead to the misery of this country of the early 80s as everyone said sod off to everyone else and communities splintered.
5/10

So, from what I can gather so far, in the 70s, there was a lot more open spaces and less cars, making it easier for the packs of wild dogs and sex offenders to hunt you down.
Not sure it’s for me

70s cinema was fantastic and give rise to the auteur, and a new wave of directory’s like Spielberg, De Palma, Scorsese Coppola etc and amazing movies. Other than that, I simply cant get past the flares I’m afraid

Candles for goalposts due to electricity shortages.
Pay at the gate for matches.
No conspiracy nut jobs infecting the general discourse.
I do remember forgetting my football kit and leaving it in the brand new school sports hall. Over the weekend the roof fell in, never got it back, good times.

I was only 10 when the 70s finished, but I do remember free milk in school, salt and vinegar chipsticks, getting sent to the shops to buy fags for my mum and punk rock.

What more does anyone need?
