Have this faint hope given he has the size and did have the attributes we need, but I just don't think we can expect him to just suddenly adapt given he has barely played in this country and had two major injuries. The run in Russia may help him but his attitude has been questioned too hasn't it?

For me Zinchenko as he will give us some much needed leadership in midfield. Then get Gilmour or Winks on loan and an attacking midfielder in Gibbs White. With vd Beek and Delph gone and hopefully Gomes 3 new midfielders are ok

Dunno if we will do mate - think we may look for a ball player in that 6 role yanno.

And vary between 5-3-2 against the best sides and at home and away v dross play 4-3-3

We had been playing a 3-4-3 in possession and 4-3-3 without during the Martinez years. I'd even argue that we played the best football by a mile under Martinez, and his sacking was totally unjustified and premature.

No mate I said Gilmour OR Winks and either not a starter but a squad option..Zichenko, Doucoure and Gibbs White seems a decent midfield

Suppose it offers more than we've got now, but only marginally ! MGW is an unknown quantity, if Wolves are willing to sell that speaks volumes. Zinchenko still unsure of. Need to shift Gomes first though

Midfield is definitely a priority for the seasons start. With Allan not back yet it already seems doubtful he will play against Chelsea. So 3/4/3 or 4/3/3 it will be hard to pick a partner for Doucs already

Along with CB, DM was my other major concern going into this window. Other than a fleeting interest in Tyler Adams (who is going to Leeds), we haven't really been linked to any players in this position.

I see people shoehorning players like Zinchenko into this role in their jarg 11s on here. I kind of want a specialist in this position.

I've got to admit with around 4 weeks till the season starts and the squad jetting to America next week, I'm becoming more and more concerned. Anyone else share my position?
