Midfield is definitely a priority for the seasons start. With Allan not back yet it already seems doubtful he will play against Chelsea. So 3/4/3 or 4/3/3 it will be hard to pick a partner for Doucs already

If we're playing 3 centre halves the number 6 role is very different. One of the centre halves is effectively playing the defensive part, and you then need either a quarterback style DM or a box to box midfielder. Doucoure could potentially play the latter role.

Yeah, I don't think there's going to be room for a destroyer-type in front of three centre-backs.

The recent games where combinations of Delph, Allan and Iwobi dropped into a back-seven (United and Chelsea at home) were understandable given the circumstances, but you can't set up to invite pressure like that every week and get away with it.

If the plan is to replicate what Thelwell presumably oversaw at Wolves, the lack of anyone similar to Neves or even an old-as-dirt Moutinho must be something that Lampard is concerned about.

Sadly, we can't do that.

Kean is already a Juventus player.

If PSG want him they have to deal with Juve who still need to come to an agreement with us over this seasons loan fee and the transfer fee.
