Thing is, Dele Alli has consistently performed in the Premier League. He has also struggled recently, but then so has Harry Kane. Clearly something hasn't been right at Spurs recently.

Dele Alli at 25 has a World Cup Semi Final and a Champions League final to his name, plus helped spearhead a spurs title challenge and has played regular champions league football.

Perceptions of what he is like as an individual aside, he is clearly a super talented footballer. Really excited by this signing.

Incredible deal for Spurs. This is only good value if he becomes the player he was 3-4 years ago.

Unless we are completely throwing FFP out the window, which we surely wouldn’t do for Alli, we don’t have the amount of money to spend on this that would make it a really bad deal. So hopefully this is a well structured deal that makes it a risk worth taking.

For the money we will get screwed out of off Spurs and Levy especially, surely we can get better, more value sovereign at least some pace and that seems to be interested in football. As you can see I am dead set against this signing, which means he'll probably turn out to be great. Do we even employ scouts anymore ?

Honestly didn't want him but having thought about it a bit more we've now got Alli and VDB both looking to essentially restart their stuttering careers, if we can get the best out of them, and I appreciate it's a fairly big if, then we could be onto a winner for a relatively small outlay.

Happy to give both a chance anyway and see how it goes, can't imagine we've paid a crazy fee for Alli.
