It is effectively a pay-as-you-play. If he plays frequently, they will get £40m.

Short Term Deals, who are we?

My worry is what we pay him, he seems like the sort who’d be earning James kind of money.

I just can't believe we'd pay Spurs upwards to £40m for a player and that player only signs a 2,5 year deal. Makes absolutely no sense at all. Even for Everton.
