Actually from Finance point of view, there is no real downside for him going out on loan. The reason it is a free transfer is because they want him off the wage bill. Pretty sure if he went on loan to Newcastle, they could sell him for more than 10 in the summer.

A loan makes more sense for Spurs.

Nah. I didn’t want Dele but given our current options, he very much fills a need. Always a chance he finds his form again and we get a real class player here.

They run the risk of him bombing though and no one being interested in the summer and they are stuck with him like us with Tosun.
