Genuine question, are there many players you can think of that have fallen off as drastically as Alli, then brought it back?

You get late bloomers like Drogba, but I can’t think of many that have been the cream of the crop at a young age then fallen off, and brought it back.

That being said, Alli at 70% of his peak would be a massive improvement for us

Klaassen. He was [Poor language removed] with us but now is doing very well again at Ajax. I do think that playing with 6 number 10s isnt helping matters. And Koeman. Never underestimate the complete ineptitude of that man as a manager. He makes Benitez look like the Manager God.

To be fair Gray never went through a spell were he was anywhere near the quality of Alli, he always showed promise at Leicester but never got there. Alli was absolutely boss for Spurs and one of the best players in the Prem under Pochettino before his fall from grace.

I mean, normally we would have went £50m and a 5 year contract. Then a lot would have been dead against it; but the fees being mooted and 2.5 year contract seems like very smart business
