He was great until a few years ago. The few games he played last year he was completly out of it, though. Having said that: VDB also wasnt the best when he got gametime by Rangnick and Ole. Players do need confidence.

Genuine question, are there many players you can think of that have fallen off as drastically as Alli, then brought it back?

You get late bloomers like Drogba, but I can’t think of many that have been the cream of the crop at a young age then fallen off, and brought it back.

That being said, Alli at 70% of his peak would be a massive improvement for us
