How in gods name does this deal work?we don't pay anything till he plays certain amount of games but can we sell him before then???

mental isn't it. I can see more teams doing stuff like that to get around financial unfair play and profit & sustainability rules. I really wish someone would challenge these rules in a court, they're proper unfair and ruining the game, well it's ruined already.

Greed has become more important than the game itself. Agents and billionaires have changed the game for the worse imo.

We can't accommodate him as a starter. He's a second striker and we don't have the midfield/team to have him in.

I get that, Lampard only recently mentioned how the focus is on the group etc. Makes sense.

He needs to be in a team that has more of the ball, we often have 20/30% of it.

But I find it odd that he's not had more time/off the bench.

Either Lampard has him in a rejuvenated side next season that can accommodate him, or he's come in and isn't giving the level needed and he'll be shipped out.

i would imagine its the latter going on previous years with Deli. I was so hoping he would do well for us and can see why Lampard took the chance. Just dont think he has got a fight in him

Poor from Lampard if that's the case to not be able to sense check/get the word on him with his football connections.
