Hearing Franks post match when asked about him it sounds like Frank wanted to use him more, and he wanted to play more, but the situation wasnt right to bed him in, i kind of get why, he is for next season.

Because Lampard gets Everton. If he'd started Dele, we would've easily won. It's not the Everton way. We need to struggle first and take the fans through an emotional rollercoaster lolThe biggest mystery is why he preferred Gomes when he wanted someone to keep more of the ball. Especially when Dele can also be a bit of snide and get stuck in, and Gomes has a tendency to watch players ghost by him.
Be interesting to see him play 90mins vs Arsenal in a 4 3 3, shackles off kind of a game.
One thing I really appreciate from Frank was the fact that yes, he is very vocal about the football he wants to play and dele fits into those plans, but he was open and realistic about what was needed in the final 10 games so he played to our strengths to try get us over the line so he shelved his transformation for next season and I like that he was flexible enough to make that mental shiftHearing Franks post match when asked about him it sounds like Frank wanted to use him more, and he wanted to play more, but the situation wasnt right to bed him in, i kind of get why, he is for next season.
…Lampard’s selections continually confuse me but he got the job done in the end.

Yeah i think he is very flexable, and has got plan B's, its one of the things Carragher talked about that night on Monday night footbal after we beat Chelsea. A young manager who can totally shange his game is great to seeOne thing I really appreciate from Frank was the fact that yes, he is very vocal about the football he wants to play and dele fits into those plans, but he was open and realistic about what was needed in the final 10 games so he played to our strengths to try get us over the line so he shelved his transformation for next season and I like that he was flexible enough to make that mental shift
No mate we have pre-agreed terms, after so many appearances we pay Spurs what was agreed. Will he also be cheaper now, given hes hardly played?
So much this re: composure.Agree mostly with what you wrote but I actually thought it was his composure which changed the game, the antithesis of energy. Here we had a player completely different to the others who was going to look after the ball while everyone else was 100mph around them… exactly what Gomes was supposed to be doing but was too busy worrying whether his pea heart would overload with another petulant foul. excellent cameo and I hope that crowd and atmosphere has reignited something in him because what a player we’d have if he found his mojo
This may well be true.Theres no way Sigurdsson has had a better performance in any Everton match than Dele achieved tonight.
None.

This 'plays well in training' never makes no sense to meLove all the armchair tacticians, we don't see training, Gomes I imagine looks quality in training but as with anything once that pressure is added, you separate the men from boys. It's easy saying Lampard should do this or do that, but we cannot fathom the intense pressure they are under.
I'd be worried if he was picking favourites, picking who trains well at least has some bearing on reality. Anyway none of us will ever ever understand the pressure that Lampard has been under and If Dele isn't pulling his weight in training or is below par, who are we to argue, we don't see it
This may well be true.
It is not, however, the benchmark by which we should judge Dele Alli as being worth keeping with an eventual fee of £40m.
Alli's future fee is widely reported to be £20m after 20 games, rising to £40m after some other triggers are reached. Has he shown enough thus far to warrant a £20m fee? No. Emphatically not. And Lampard's post-match remarks about "waiting for Alli to start training better" speak volumes about the probable issues.
Dele Alli has about 12 games to demonstrate he's worth £20m. He's going to have to have a proper pre-season, work diligently and consistently to show professionalism and progress in order to get picked to start the season in the the first 11. THEN he's got to deliver the goods on the pitch in most of his Prem games.
If he does all that, then brilliant. I'll happily eat my words and the club will choose to keep him.
How LIKELY is he to do that though? Time will tell.
