The problem with that is those big wages, nobody else would be daft enough to take him on his alleged current wage. He will just stay here until the end of his contract. I doubt he will play much either, because the club will not want to trigger any of the clauses in the deal they made with Spurs.
 
We don't know for certain, but Alli had his face put out at Spurs with the arrival of Son.

Before that time he and Kane were very good. So he downed tools possibly?

Is it possible he could have that rapport with DCL? We simply don't know.

The lack of quality and reliable DCM partnerships has fracked the team possible selections up no doubt.

If I was picking the team, I wouldn't be picking Alli simply because what's behind him isn't good enough...most of the time.

Be great to get some goals and assists from him before the season ends. We need them.

Just a thought.

Im pretty sure they joined at a similar time.

Very true and that is the risk in what could only be described as a gamble at the time.

In that scenario you’d think a hungry player would be desperate to leave in the summer if it was spelled out by the club.

Really thought Fronk had some inside knowledge of whatever Dele’s issues the last 3 years or so have been and felt confident he’d contribute when he came here.

Looks a bit misplaced now. In this rebuild phase we can’t just be signing players for the sake of it. We’ve already got a load of big flops on huge wages, their contracts are just about up, we don’t want to replace them with more of the same.

Such short term thinking, get a strategy Everton!!

Nothing wrong with a player being a big time Charlie, provided the do the biz when they are given the starring role (e.g. Lingard at West Ham). problem is, we wont know if he can do that unless we give him that starring role?

We were a point above the drop zone not that long back.

I think our only hope is Dele wants to play in the US or something.

Whoever did this deal needs to be removed from the club.
 

In a free role with a solid set of wingers and midfielders behind and around him I’m sure he’s still capable of scoring a few goals.

You have to play to his strengths to get a tune out of him. Problem is this squad hasn’t got that

He hasn’t cost us a penny apart from
Wages, do you really believe no other prem
Club or clubs in the other big 4 leagues wouldn’t be interested.

If we want rid, we probably pass him on to a club that agrees a similar deal with spurs. Or we sell him for money and compensate spurs

We are not really in a position to chastise people for getting paid while not doing their job, we support a team full of wasters getting paid to be footballers.
