That's a fairly poor post mate. I wish you hadn't picked a user name so like mine when you joined, it worries me that some people may think it was me who posted it.
Fairly poor? I said his last outing was a bellend post. I was wrong - he's just a bellend.
I have no idea if the entire story is a PR scam dreamt up by his agent to mitigate his uselessness at EFC nor do I have no idea if he ever mentioned
it at Spurs, especially when he was playing well, about four years ago. What I do know is that it is not relevant now.
What I do know is that his employer in Turkey called him a waste of space and that Dele signed a contract at EFC to play football.
You're quite clearly either a terrible WUM or a Neanderthal. Go and research something called ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and their impact.
I have no reason to doubt why a person would come out and describe a horrendous time in their lives, and the evident terrible impact it's had on them.
Yes he's signed a contract to play football, but it isn't that simple and if you want to flip it around, we as his employer have a responsibility for his care and wellbeing.
As a person who has professionally worked with people who've faced awful trauma, including similar abuse, I appreciate the damage it may have done to him.
You mention Spurs, but the impact of abuse can take a long time to seep out because children develop coping mechanisms, which need to be unravelled.
These mechanisms, designed to protect themselves, ultimately cause other long-term damage including relationship trouble, criminality and substance abuse.
For me, it's took a lot of bravery for him to speak up regardless of whether the press forced the move (again, that's more of an example of their perverse nature).
He's twenty-seven and if he can rekindle some form for us during this time of treatment, great. If not, well I just hope his overall wellbeing improves.
Well-being > football.
