Itās been bad but itās sad to think weāve probably had worse deals!
He was still an important part of the place comeback so at the very least thereās that.
He was also able to deal with a lot of personal demons and he said heās back to a much better place mentally which while not great for the team on the pitch is something special for him.
I canāt help but like the guy and Iām willing him to come back.
I agree that getting a mentally and physically fit Dele Alli could re-ignite his career, I would love to see nothing more.
The only thing I will say, and it might come across insensitive is that whilst he was battling his demons and injuries, since his last appearance in an Everton shirt it has cost the club cĀ£10m, baring in mind a club that has been charged for an FFP breach, with nothing in return.
We don`t know what will happen in the remainder of the season, our cash strapped club will part with another Ā£2.5m from now till June for Dele.
I`m praying to god that when he does come back he will be more like the Dele we seen previously, he would be the perfect Doucoure replacement, technically he has always been better than Doucs. If he comes back the player he was before then that outlay may have been worth it, but if he comes back and isn`t up to it then it has to go down as another expensive mistake.
The power play could be that his contract runs out, Spurs then lose the right to any transfer fee then we resign him and he is free to play without us having to part with any money.
Again I`m praying he comes back strong, I don`t think he will be the player he was before but he has the ability to be one of our best players.....
