I'd accept him paying £100k a month to Everton to stay using the facilities at the club and remain in the squad if fully fit.

What injury does he supposedly have anyway? The earlier part of the season was about his mental health struggles wasn't it, but has he had some catastrophic injury that nobody knows about that takes half a year to recover from?
