Not really. Iwobi and Bernard didn't get nearly as much time on the pitch (or in Iwobi's case not playing fullback). They're slight upgrades maybe.

we had to go all in with Ancelotti, it was “win now”, and we ultimately failed.

Benitez seems happier to build a project, which means the big names are probably gone. Tbh, we’re still absolutely reeling from the Walsh/Koeman mess, and low risk, high reward players like Gray seem a hell of a lot better than garbage like Sigurdsson and Gomes who fish the best part of £70m.

Give them a chance, these signings have a feel of Moyes about them and we could end up with diamonds in the rough. Hopefully they can both step up a level and we can get a marquee signing to help the club push forward. COYB
