Confirmed Signing Demarai Gray

I feel like the one thing we are always shouting for out of Everton is more pace. Last season was a sludge. Was I the only one watching last season when it seemed like every time we gained possession of the ball the other team easily got back for cover and our 4th pass in the movement is inevitably backwards?? I feel like these 2 signings certainly add to getting us pace into the final third. We all also want European competition and last season proved how embarrassingly thin our squad was outside of the top 12-13 players. Depth and pace for a manageable price. I know I would pick these 2 over Iwobi,Bernard and Delph.
Pace pace pace pace

We soooo need pace…

2 year deal, 1.5 mil, there is pace and ability there as you say and a second chance at a decent club might give him a kick up the bum.

Even if he does absolutely nothing for us, he won't even be in our worst 50 signings.
I wouldn’t be sneering at these two signings, they will play plenty of games for Everton next season and will be professional about it, more than some of the players were last season. At Finch Farm Benitez is having an effect in a short time there, two or three of the senior players are already moaning that their workload ( training) is too hard, Benitez’s response was if they don’t like it they know where the door is, when their attitude got back to him, maybe the holiday camp many players have enjoyed over the last few years is over and they will have to earn their wages from now on.

Gray is a Moyes type signing, highly rated as a youngster, career stagnates so picks him up cheaply and takes a chance.

I thought Townsend was a lot older, I think the fans will take to Townsend on the pitch.
Always wants the ball and not afraid to run at players.

Not exactly the big money signings people expect but low spending on proven PL players. I’d take Townsend on the bench over Iwobi, Bernard.

This time 12 months ago I was excited at what Everton may achieve, then after the first couple of games I thought we may be in to something here with the great attacking football we played. Then thought what players could we be linked with this time next year. Never did I think that all my hopes and dreams would be shattered once more and now we’re linked with a player that Palace didn’t want and Gray who Leicester didn’t really want. Wtf Everton
Well, presumably, like the rest of us (although I did have a nagging concern), you didn't think Ancelotti was a has-been, inept, ship jumper. Things can look good, but turn out sewage, and vice versa. Grit your teeth, cross your fingers (don't get that the wrong way round!) and wait for the footy to start.

I was quite excited about signing Townsend then I found out it wasn’t Pete.
