Agree, but not sure they're were any right options with the absolute dross around him - think he was trying to do too much and all on his own himself too many times.

Hope he snaps out of ot, but We've seen it so many times before . Our signings often start off relly well then get sucked into being as garbage as the rest of the frauds - it's like they think if they can get away with being lazy feckless turds I might as well down tools.

Hes getting a lot more attention then he did earlier in the season, hes been identified as a threat, hes going to have to develop and deal with lads biting at his heels, he has the pace for it, needs the resilience and street smarts.

He’s a winger, he’s inconsistent, it goes with the territory. All but the very top level wingers are notoriously inconsistent. For 1.7 million you don’t get one of the lads from the very top level. He will have a mixture of good bad and indifferent games, but, his pace on the break is invaluable to us. He’s not our biggest concern at the moment.

With us playing only 2 in midfield the opposition could afford to have one of their 5 MFs permanently doubling up with the FB to mark Gray. I can't recall Gray once having the run on a single defender (first half miss aside).

Worth persevering with I think, he is at least dangerous and occupies defenders, the alternative is Iwobi, I think Gray will benefit from being kept in but he can't do it all on his own, our attacking unit has just fell flat since Rondon came in. Richarlison is always better out wide for me but simply can't have Rondon starting games.

He's had a difficult role playing off the striker recently, especially when for the most part that striker has been Rondon.

Benitez needs to keep him out wide.

Does not help that he has nothing behind him at fb. Is why we need another winger to take the pressure off and rotate. Been happy with him so far i am sure will regain his form

He can't do it himself, without that support of doucoure bombing on his wings are clipped.

Has got into some decent pockets of space, just either final shot or pass has let himself down.

Looks a nuisance though so hopefully something will come off.
