That's the hope. Having a terrible squad means Everton is easy to game plan against with all the injuries. Stop him from running into space and Everton's attack fall flat most of the time.

I was a little frustrated with him 2nd half today. I counted at least 3 times Lucas Digne overlapped him in a great position to have the ball played in front of him to cross and was completely ignored. If it had been Iwobi making that decision he would have been crucified. I would have liked to have seen him and Gordon switch flanks too but that's more down to the manager than players.

He's not really a natural goal scorer. Harsh to criticise him now as he and Townsend over-produced at the start of the season. Gordon needs a goal and when he gets one it'll be interesting.
