We’ve spent years slagging the players off and complaining the managers don’t do anything.
No one knows what’s really going on behind the scenes with players. He may be justified or out of order.
If it was Carlo I doubt it would be questioned half as much.
I know, this is what i dont understand about some blues, we all were sick of Brands, Rafael runs him out of town but gets zero credit. We have moaned about the lack of fitness levels in the squad, and the useless medical staff, Rafael has allready starting shaking that side of things up. He has done more work to sort the mess out behind the scenes then any manager for a while but to some he is the bad man, its crazy.
Anyway in an effort to stay on topic, Gray is ace and Rafael signed him!!

Does anyone really think that Guardiola, Tuchel or Klopp allows a democracy on how they think their team should be playing? ‘Hi Pep I was thinking that rather than doing the defensive work you told me to, that I fancy attacking a bit more’. On what planet would Digne’s behaviour ever be even entertained with any of those managers at those clubs? Surely our fans want a manager that is in control, has a way of playing, and fits the players into that system? Isn’t that what countless posts over the last few years have been about?

When it’s Benitez though this logic is out of the window. Apparently it’s completely healthy to have players openly in subordination of the manager and it’s wrong for the manager to have any response to that at all. In fact he should just keep playing a player who refuses to carry out his tactical instruction.

When a manager tells you to do something and when you do it, it works and you win, then of course you listen. When you and the team are stinking the place out every week and losing and your being to believe more but do the same , I think you’d be an idiot not to question it. How many goals we will concede from corners before Rafael finally changes the set up ? Both bobby amd Silva didn’t change a losing formula and they were rightly sacked

Don't think any of them have been on an 7 game losing streak for someone to be even questioned....

Benitez does not have a clue, what has he ever won? I am with Digne who played well for six months and has been moderate ever since. Our club needed a massive shake up but because Benitez is actually getting on with it I will slag him off. No RS gonna win me over etc ...

Erm.. Demarai Gray has been a revelation so far this season.
Not perfect like, I think he put Coleman under unnecessary pressure with that pass v the RS ( yeah Seamus should still have dealt with it) and his pass to Keane/Godfrey against Palace, both ending up in goals.
Going forward though he is a breath of fresh air.
Hope he has learned from those 2 slips and becomes a star.

His defensive tactics are boring and out dated , he uses zonal marking even tho our players can’t do it … he is a poor man’s Mourinho …I have accepted the fact we are unlikely to ever be a top aide again … just give me some entertainment… watching teams have 70-80% of the ball isn’t entertaining … the fact that he’s a RS isn’t the reason I dislike him being our manager … it’s that his teams are slow , boring and defensive

Top flight trophy count:

Benitez - 12 in 28 years
Digne - 13 in 10 years

I don't know why you're not talking about Demarai Gray in here but just thought i'd point out your error.

He’s shaking things up now out of desperation to try and force results.

The club has been comfortably mid table for years and suddenly it’s panic stations and a battle for survival. That’s on the manager.

Make no mistake none of this drama would be occurring if we were in the top half.

He’s a failing manager swinging punches wherever he can to see if he can get a reaction. It’s not looking good.

Did he not change things by leaving Digne out ?
