TBH I think it's more important just to get it resolved now and get the money in. Things are so far down the line now with him agreeing terms elsewhere that it's highly unlikely he's going to play for us again regardless. In any case he's not done any pre-season training at all with 8 days to go so it's unlikely he'll feature in the Fulham game (for either side).
Why would it be the club ?
They will want every player training, fit and available to play or available for transfer.
The club gains nothing from not having players train at least.
