It suits the club to sell a player at this stage because they don't have to reinvest, or moreover, they can't reinvest because the window has shut

That's why I'm so against it. We've already seen £30m not reinvested, and I don't want to see more.

We need four senior wide players for the next 16 weeks - im not counting Dobbin as hes a project, keep him and see how we are fixed in Jan.

I dont care what Gray wants to be honest, no point leaving ourselves short in wide areas.

Yeah, I think I agree.

I’m less concerned about losing Gray than I was Iwobi. I feel like we’re pretty well stocked now in the goal threat stakes with Beto, Harrison, Chermiti and Danjuma all new faces ahead of him.

Look when the club made it public that he wasnt for sale, I was ok with that.

But not now.

Not after this public begging to leave.

Get him gone and remove his toxic influence from a squad that really doesnt need it around the place.

We need people who on the surface are at least half committed.

Sensible from everton...we need all the players we can get...he will apologise, probably not playing much if any at all (unless we have a lot of injuries) and will end up leaving in January once we get a replacement.
 

Think bridges have been burned now. Could do without him sulking round the training ground for the next 4 months. After the international break we'll have McNeil, Harrison, Danjuma and Dobbin to cover those wide positions, with Garner or Young if necessary. Take the money.
 
Dyche doesnt rate him, he also didn't rate Iwobi in my opinion.

Hes fourth choice wider, maybe even fifth, break glass in an emergency, but we need bodies until January.

His cost in minimal, he can throw around all the toys he likes - he has very little leverage.

Imagine he highlighted his failure to do the defensive dirty work and / or some iffy decision making in the opposing final ⅓ during a match post mortem and he wasn’t too keen on hearing about areas for improvement.
That or he failed the beep test 🤣
