leeds wanted to keep Gnonto, we wanted to sell Gray. Why not do this weeks ago and reinvest the funds?
Now we're even weaker and less creative.
Leeds showed some spine with Gnonto. What are we? Certainly not a football club.

It’s been going for weeks, Fulham were in talks, didn’t do a deal, Al Shabab had a deal virtually signed 2 weeks ago then changed their boardWhy not do this weeks ago and reinvest the funds?

I'm not a gray admirer but we could have done with him against Fulham and Wolves.Gray has suddenly found a bunch of admirers after we get rid of him. Typical.
That should surely be obvious now after years of incompetenceWhy not do this weeks ago and reinvest the funds?
He's failed the 19th beep test of the day after passing the previous 18 (and has a tiny bit of flair as egoistic as he is), that's not very Sean Dyche worthy.I'm not a gray admirer but we could have done with him against Fulham and Wolves.
This is the same reason people wet the bed over Iwobi going despite the fact that he'll put in a 4/10 performance most weeks as he has for his entire Everton career. Players like Gray and Iwobi are a symptom of why we are where we are as a club on the pitch. Fans too quick to accept mediocre players and managers taking that acceptance to mean they're good enough as fans like them.I think I'd rather a 7/10 Danjuma over an accoasional 9/10 Gray.
He looked amazing when he burst through at Birmingham, and I thought Leicester did well to sign him.
He was offloaded after a couple of seasons and Bayer Leverkusen were only too happy to send him our way for a paltry fee.
I just think we need consistency rather than flashes of brilliance. It's a decent fee for a player who blows very hot and cold. (for me anyway)
Keeps the lights on though£10m we will not be using towards players mind you.
Well, that showed m3!!An Agenda, alright m8!!
This misses the point entirelyThis is the same reason people wet the bed over Iwobi going despite the fact that he'll put in a 4/10 performance most weeks as he has for his entire Everton career. As wingers I think Harrison and Danjuma are miles better than those two regardless but let's say they weren't, they're consistent at least. The undoing of this team so many times over the last few years was going into a game confident because of a good performance the week before and then players being complacent and inconsistent.
Looking at the squad now in terms of forwards Harrison, Danjuma, Beto and DCL, you know exactly what you'll get from them if they play, they may not score or assist every week but over a season it'll add up to a fine tally, you then have McNeil and Chermiti who can be a bit more hot and cold but they're young so that's fine, it's an actual balanced set of options. Last season under Dyche on the other hand you had Gray, Iwobi, McNeil and Maupay all playing a lot when they're so inconsistent and can't be relied upon and in fairness of all of them McNeil, the youngest, was by far the best.
The squad minus Iwobi, Gray and Maupay is stronger because we couldn't rely on them to perform regardless of replacements, the fact is though even just on paper they have all been replaced by upgrades who were all here before they were sent on their way, we could of course do with more numbers but the squad has improved compared to last year where it needed most, which is the forward line.
The last thing I'll say is anyone who's crying over losing a member of a squad that is probably our worst ever, two seasons in a row, needs to rethink the situation about just how good they think a player was for us.
Iwobi is worth 22m. Gray is worth $10m. That is how they are viewed in the market.Dunno but iwobi was 22m and gray scored basically the same amount of goals as he did in 4 years in a single season
All I was pointing out is if you know your not wanted, and the club are looking to move you on, but then refuse the departure unless a replacement comes in first, how you gonna feel.Well, that showed m3!!
