I think Sunderland are ok for cash after Aston Massive Club Villa gave them £400m for Bent.

Point 1- We broke our transfer record 3 years on the run (Investing in the squad), now we are having to spend less as we never qualified for champs league etc during that period. Sunderland invested last season and the season before now they are holding back. They dont invest more, they just did it at a different time.
Point 2- Spurs have additional revenue streams which provide funds to purchase players. Spurs are a very rich club FACT. we are not FACT
Point 3 - I dont even know what your trying to say, ive given you the reason for stoke having money to spend and you just come back to some rant about not caring you just want money to spend. They have money to spend cos they have income which wasnt forecasted (forecasting is how a business budgets)
Point 5- Im a fan who also pays my hard earned money to follow the club, however i realise that money does not just grown on trees. Our chairman has no money, thats not his fault. What do you want him to do? I dont particularly like bill kenwright but its not his fault the club is skint and not his fault he isnt a billionaire.

THIS IS REAL LIFE NOT FOOTBALL MANAGER, This is a real business, you cant just go spending money you dont have.

I respect all your points due to them being valid, but why can't he come out and name his price for the club?

As i said mate im not his biggest fan, i think he should name a price for the club, although there is some obvious business reasons for this not being completely wise move. I also wish he wouldnt shun fans as much and i hate all the bravado and performance when something good happens to club. Kenwright needs to embrace the fans to start moving this club forward, but as this moment its just like two rival camps.

Fair do'z lar iam not having a pop at you , I've read your posts on here before I know your on the money but iam very confident that no big names will join us this summer because I have no faith or confidence in our chairman to do so , bothroyd was an example hence the free transfer tag , i can see the kid from city coming , a back up keeper and 1/2 strikers championship level E,G bothroyd , shayne long , Mc kail-smith ect ect not Charles Nzogbia type quality

Again, spot on.

Murphy 89 Stoke city spend more money than Everton because there another club who have better ownership , the Coats family , nothing to do with promotion money fella , otherwise all the promoted teams would be in for players like Kenwynne jones , the point iam making is were not going to make any big name signings under Kenwright ever* Simples*

That last post was to LCAB

I know , Lad - Hit Reply With Quote next time , Lad .

Yeah . Youre not far away as we stand now , but surely No Evertonian - having seen Moyles now KB Vanilla thinks hes just gonna stand for a loan back-up Keeper ...???

Nah . People will go and others will arrive .

The QUESTION is who goes an' for how much ???

Then , Zog wouldnt be so outlandish - though hes likely to be a RS by then , so I heard ...

Ive been told - NOT BY S , today that City have bid £25 M for Bainsey ..

Im not casing him on his stuff any more , but as with The Villa Thing ; HE'D'VE CALLED ME !!! Thus , I doubt ALL rumours until told otherwise . I suggest yous do the same .

Let's just wait an' see .. There are numerous ways that his can play out ....

I'll explain again....Stoke gained promotion to the premier league which provides more revenue. Clubs who are promoted then (generally) budget for relegation the following season, stoke survived therefore giving them additional revenue they didnt expect, this can then be used for transfers. The Coats family didnt personnely bankroll stokes spending. Again im not defending Kenwright, the fact of the matter is our club is skint, end of. Not all promoted clubs stay up as long as stoke have

Talking about families:

Lord Grantchester declined to put himself forward for reelection at the 2000 AGM, citing business reasons. However, there are rumours that he left because Bill Kenwright rejected his numerous offers of financial help during or after the takeover by True Blue Holdings. And the rumours have continued since, fueled by the belief of many Everton fans that Lord Grantchester would happily underwrite a massive venture into the transfer market in support of David Moyes, if only Bill Kenwright would swallow his pride and allow the Moores Millions to once again revive a flagging Everton...

he Everton team returned to the UK today to find that, after much posturing in their absense, the club is no nearer a resolution to it's boardroom struggles.

And the problems were further highlighted with a formal statement from Lord Grantchester, claiming NOT to be Paul Gregg's financial backer. It read :

"I'm a lifelong Evertonian and I share in all Evertonians' disappointment and frustration at seeing our great club failing to compete at the highest level.

"I understand the desire for change and with this in mind I have had preliminary discussions to see how the present difficulties could be put in the context of a long-term solution for stability.

"It is not the case that I am behind Mr Gregg's proposals to underwrite funds for the club and indeed I have not seen Mr Gregg's proposals for the board.

"Any solution needs to underpin the future of the club. A short-term measure, while providing temporary respite, must not be burdensome to the future.

"The present circumstances can't be helpful to David Moyes as he prepares a team for the start of the season.

"I look forward to the board's proposal to make progress with a clear vision for the development of Everton Football Club and my family will continue to have the best interests of Everton at heart."

So, Mr Gregg, did lying to Everton fans help Mr Johnson in any way when he was at the club?

The bit in bold strikes me the most. Why aren't we getting any financial help?
