Exactly. I pretty much said the same. I really would like to see him here, I do think he'd bring us a lot of goals

But if he for one second thinks Newcastle a better offer, I'd be more than happy to swerve

But coming on here after not long being a member arguing and insulting fellow users isn't going to help your cause. Just look at the amount of red "negative" blobs you have next to your name.

I wonder what Beckford's goals per minutes ratio is in comparison to others...

I really don't get the superiority complex here over Newcastle. We've a better team, yep, and I fully expect to finish above them next year. Yet the arrogance shown by some posters here is remarkable. We're a better team but it's not like we're Brazil and they're Burkina Faso.

It's not just that it's Newcastle

I remember a few summers back, Owen, Emre, Smith....could go on, all joined Newcastle, could have joined Everton. If they didn't go purely for a massive pay cheque, then it's not raining outside

That's pretty much the point I was making. We're no Brazil, that's for sure, but we are constantly finishing above Newcastle, there's no argument there

I'd like Ba, but I'd be very surprised if he didn't want to join someone like Newcastle because of getting a bigger wage. I'm more than likely wrong, but it doesn't really show signs of someone who wants to help a team achieve things etc etc

Indeed. It's not actually Newcastle that is the issue, however their (and Sunderland's) transfer policy (or moreover a lack of policy) has meant the North-East has turned into a Bermuda Triangle for mercenary bell-ends.

I guess if you dangle enough notes on a big-hook you're going to end up with the footballing equivalents of Jordan and Imogen whatsherface climbing over the others to grab for them...
