Don't know much about Galtier, but if he's under contract a lot of clubs write in a leaving clause that you can't approach players for a determined length of time.
Lille want to sell their top players so don't think that would be an issue

Because they expect someone at the club to stop Brands signing him after witnessing his 'performances' in the euros.

PSV should be trying to push a deal through.
You think is similar to sidebe or coleman, wouldnt say coleman is that technical pf a player either but if this lad has
Got pace to get up and down the pitch and defend could create spqce if we hopefully get a top class rm. Or you just think he will fail here i dont no much about him at all

I think when you compare him to Hakimi, Aarons or Emerson then youre going to be disappointed.

All 3 or 4 years younger and far superior.

Hakimi is obviously looking like being on the verge of a huge £60mil move after they signed him for €45mil. Hes out of reach.

However, when you look at the lack of top quality right backs then for €25mil (Emerson) or £30mil (Aarons) it would make far more sense for us to be after either of them. Failing that then someone u21 with potential.

€15mil / £13mil for Dumfries is probably 'fair' value for him. He has a good engine and can get up and down...very committed player, big, strong, athletic and powerful.

Defensively id be concerned as he seems to be somewhat poor positionally and also a bit reckless because hes so committed he jumps into challenges.

Attacking wise hes done really well in Holland because of his physique and power, getting into advanced positons and putting a low ball into the box.

Dont think his passing is up to much and he cant cross a ball over 2 feet off the ground.

I only really watched him when Lozano was there so he may have improved since then but from what ive seen he'd be a squad player.

If we get him then hopefully he proves me wrong...if we play a style which relies on full backs then it seems to be a cheap punt on someone who could be upgraded once Coleman retires.

A big upside of signing Dumfries is his height (6’2) something which we definitely need, hopefully we’re going to sign at least one winger with pace, pacey tricky wingers are generally on the smaller side. If we signed a Bailey or Diaby type as well as Aarons we’d be quite small on the right side. Add in James at 10, Allan in CM and Godfrey being on the shorter side we’d risk getting dominated in the air and could struggle defending set pieces. At least one of our new right sided players needs to be taller and I think it’s easier and preferable to have the taller player at RB and the smaller tricky player on the wing.
Also like the fact that Dumfries is PSV’s captain, we definitely need more leadership in the team, he also looks to have a similar fighting spirit to Godfrey which is another attribute we badly need more of.
