Have you been to your GP? Mate, honestly, speak out, and it'll help. It won't fix it overnight, but those small steps can add up to a lot with the right support.

It could be therapy, online support groups or even some form of medication that can help.
I've been on Sertraline, it didn't help, the GP's is difficult to get to these days !!

the GP's is difficult to get to these days !!
So many people are suffering unnecessarily because of this.
How are you expected to find the motivation to continually ring a doctors for hours on end for an appointment when just getting out of bed is a battle every day.

Keep talking.
Never be embarrassed or ashamed that you're having a bad day.
Don't suffer in silence.
Keep talking.

Just unloading some of the weight by reaching out here will give you a lift.
Keep unloading.

Well I like my footy & general sport, but anxiety stops me doing anything, I set out for somewhere, & end up turning back ?
Anxiety is horrible, completely understand you here. Have you reached out to your GP or, if possible, self-refered to your local IAPT service? I say if possible because some regions require GP referral (or they did).

Edit: I ask because it helped me a lot by doing so.

Na mate, it doesn't work like that, i know what you mean. Like, it's totally irrational with me, get worked up over stuff that just probably won't (and doesn't happen) or just feel hideous in social situations (often with no warning). But its pretty crippling when it's bad even though I know a given situation is not that bad really.

Professional help worked in terms of getting over a really bad period. Its also been about learning how to manage triggers or episodes. Had to change careers because of it, which is gutting in some ways, but feeling well is more important.
