I'd love him here, but be arsed with it only being 4 months. That's badly papering over the cracks in the squad without fixing our issue but rather delaying it until January.

He's an ace player and I will take him if nothing else worthwhile is on but if it happens then we have to address this issue in January and questions should be asked about why we've failed to do the business this summer.

Except after Jan we would probably drop down again, making it largely worthless. Seriously what a sad indictment of our recruitment dept. this would be. The shortest of short termism. Dispiriting , if true.
