I doubt very much that anything he's done will have been illegal.

I'm just saying that the *reality* as you and I *know* it goes to the heart of whether we see him as a credible character.

I say not.
If, let's say hypothetically, it was Usmanov backing Moshiri, and he sold his Arsenal interests and came on board and was open and honest about his business with Everton. Would that be a better scenario?

That want happen though, especially in light of all the denials in the Paradise Papers investigation. Imagine hm trying to get that past the authorities: "I wasn't in control back then...but I want control now".

A complete non-starter.

Athletico will, as usual, be playing Champions League football next season, by contrast we'll be lucky to still be playing Premier League football.

Any move for Simeone would be a non-starter and a total waste of time.

Talk about trying to run before you can walk.

What if he sold up and was neck deep in the development around Bramley Moore? I can see more than one way to skin a cat, if you aren't worried about being a little murky about your dealings, which I think we can all agree seems to be the case.

Surely that depends on what motivates Simeone.

It seems to me that at Atletico they have reached the infamous glass ceiling and as well as he has done he has not been able to break the dominance of Real and Barca.....maybe he is ready for a fresh challenge.

That is not imply that I believe he will come to Everton, but I do believe he will leave Atletico.

Or.

"In order to remove any doubt I will sell my shares in Arsenal and move everything over to Everton".

The PL would have to look at that and conclude that the first 49% bought was just a staging post while a shareholder at Arsenal waited to get off one of the two horses they were riding and decide which one he stuck with.

It would cause a massive stink given what's already been accused and denied.
