Correct. I don't have a dpf. It's one I'll bear in mind as I weigh up routes.I have little constructive to say in this thread apart from are you sure the injectors are okay? I believe that model will be from around 2006-2009 and uses the TDCI engine?
Depending how old, no dpf. Common rail engines are known to have injector issues. I speak from experience because I brought an 08 plate Kia a few years back which had the injectors replaced about 6mths before I brought it. Few months in I was having problems. Its the mechanism I believe. Just prone to issues.
I'll get on that this afternoon, ta.Is there a hissing noise when the engine is running? Check pipes for cracks and make sure all clips are tight. Also you might want to clean the throttle body in case its sticking and get the airflow meter checked out.
On another note, I had a Skoda with a Pump Duesse tdi which was absolutely bomb proof.
Mmmm, diesel engine chat.

My earlier post was what made my TDI1.9 engine lumpy on idle. touched the throttle and it purred like a chesty kitten. Fantastic Engine.Same engine as the legendary Golf Tdi 1.9, one of the best engines ever made.
The one and same. Suspect it would still be going if not for emissions legislation etc. Important, of course, but sometimes you have to feel wistful about solid engineering.Same engine as the legendary Golf Tdi 1.9, one of the best engines ever made.

I have a Discovery 3. I spend an awful lot of time doing this. The one and same. Suspect it would still be going if not for emissions legislation etc. Important, of course, but sometimes you have to feel wistful about solid engineering.
Land-rover? Was reading the other day they're becoming a nightmare to insure (or some are) due to thefts.I have a Discovery 3. I spend an awful lot of time doing this.
Adding my series 2 to my classic multicar policy added £70 to the cost.Land-rover? Was reading the other day they're becoming a nightmare to insure (or some are) due to thefts.
Think it's the nutter mobiles becoming a problem. I think you know the ones...Adding my series 2 to my classic multicar policy added £70 to the cost.
