Difference between a Legend and Cult Hero

Do you lot even know what the difference is or would you like me to school you? Going around calling Cahill a legend. Complete and utter disgrace tbh!!!!
 
The dictionary defines a hero as, “ a person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose.â€￾ The definition of a legend is, “one whose fame promises to be particularly enduring.â€￾ In any circumstance that you are using one of these words, you could more than likely make them interchangeable and substitute the other in its place. But in this instance, the difference is the point that is trying to be made. Somebody can be a hero for 15 minutes, a day, maybe a month, but eventually over time, heroes are forgotten and lost in society, while legends did something so extraordinary that they will never be forgotten.
 
Who's arsed? If someone thinks someone is a legend and I don't agree I wouldn't call them a disgrace, their opinion.
 

I think it's personal opinion.

I like Cahill, he has been heroic at times, but to me NOT a legend.

Dunc to me, was a legend. But I understand how some say he is NOT one.

*Claps Hands* First and only sensible comment (apart from me own) that I've read since joining this site. Cahill didn't do anything particularly extraordinary to warrant him being labled a legend. Words such as genius,legend,world class etc are thrown around willy-nilly these days and it really gets me blood boiling!!!
 

i think god doesnt exist but i dont call someone a disgrace for thinking he does now just end this thread before it starts.
