Dirtiest player you've ever seen

Souness, was the dirtiest and most times never had any intention of going for the ball, just the player and particularly the knees.

Julian Dicks

From Wiki
New signing Simon Webster had a long term injury having had his leg broken by Dicks in a training session accident. With the side now managed by Harry Redknapp, Dicks was transferred in order to bring in new players. Liverpool manager Graeme Souness on the recommendation of Redknapp watched Dicks play in a West Ham match against Swindon Town on 11 September 1993. Souness thought Dicks to be "my kind of player" and signed him for Liverpool that week in a swap deal which involved David Burrows and Mike Marsh moving to West Ham. Dicks' signing had been part of an effort by Souness to "toughen up" the Liverpool team as he had planned to pair him with fellow hard man, Neil Ruddock.

Vinnie Jones.

My dad's old company sponsored a Sheff United Ipswich game and he got to shake hands with Jones before kick off.

Says he can still feel his hand bruised now.

A mate of my mate, who I got to know a bit, played with him at Wimbledon. Then worked for him when he got into acting.

He is exactly like the character he played in Lock Stock. Decent bloke, (loyal, family, pals stuff) but hard as nails.

He spooked more than one Hollywood movie guy when they met him after seeing him in Lock Stock, them expecting an "actor", and actually meeting the character himself.

My dad used to go on about gentilli, apparently he volleyed maradona right out of a world cup, that was also my dads nickname amongst lad who used to play footy with, so he must have been bad
