Ebay has some cheap waterproof fleece clothing for those that can get out to get their heads cleared. My youngest can't do that so we drive around looking for Christmas trees and lights. Hopefully more go up soon - we're looking at the same houses every night. If you've others at home Board games are great too for alleviating the boredom and giving everyone a laugh - no matter what age you are, TV just rotting our brains I think it makes you more depressed during the lockdown.

Certainly watching any news outlet does, it`s just relentless doom and gloom, totally focused on the negative and never any positives.

As you mention there, there`s nothing at all for the kids, as everything for them is shut ( other than playgrounds in parks )

Me too mate, I am lucky though, have worked all through it, but at home I am depressed !!

I have too but it doesn't feel like it helps. I suppose I'm not worried about money like some people will be but it's just all work and no play.

For all the abuse talksport gets from many I think they're brilliant at how they can give your head a rest from all the doom everywhere else and even when the footies off they still find other things to keep you tuned in.

I used to have them on in the van when working, but since having our own lock down since mid Feb, they have been a godsend. Some of the stuff they invented instead of footie, were superb.

Ironically, they are, imo, crap at actual live coverage of sport!

Is this ongoing lockdown stuff not getting to anyone else? I feel like I can't bear it anymore. There's nothing to look forward to.

Its dour stuff at the moment like - got a left arm like popeye as all I've been doing is wanking out of boredom lol

Having little to no work doesn't make it any easier - picked up a bit after the first lockdown whereas now its dried up again.

Made up schools are still open though was horrendous last time having the little sod home all day running around with the dog bashing into things.

Haha I agree, they're just like us - living and breathing Everton every day of our lives, most of the time it's the actual football that's the worst thing about Everton.

I’m seeing many more people out walking now mate, even when the weather isn’t too good.

People just need to get out and clear their heads.

Meols/Hoylake promenade is chocker, I’ve been walking down there in the past when the sun’s cracking the flags and you’d pass half a dozen people.

Earwig board games point is a good one. What they used to do in the olden days when there was no telly, Internet mobile phones etc. Made people more sociable I suppose. We are pampered, our every need met, multiple options, no boredom and everyone has a busy, full diary, except............they havnt. Ironically with social media, people's people skills get less and less. I listen to a lot of podcasts are there really is some fantastic true crime ones out there. I'll recommend three: Bear Brook, Up and Vanished: Tara Grinstead and Someone knows Something. Fantastic and proof positive that truth is far stranger than fiction. BBC Sounds has some great documentary podcasts. Great Lives is well worth a listen with some great backstories on famous people.

The first lockdown brought a fair dose of anxiety with the uncertainty. At least it had some adrenaline though. This one is just like staring in to the abyss. Nothingness. Nothing to do or look forward to. It's horrible. This virus is a time thief on top of taking people's lives.

Exactly mate we've everything available to us now except the ability for some to be able to talk, socialise and be happy even though its makes me sound about a 100. Board games are brilliant family time they bring all the family together and everyone has a laugh and can forget about their crap for a while. When you can laugh together you can talk together. You'd be amazed how much even horrible kids can open up and talk when they're enjoying silly games.

Board games with my kids always end up with one of them getting angry, shouting and storming off when they're losing.
