The thing is Liverpool winning the league is a very real possibility probably not this year but over the next few years I'd say they probably will win it.. and if they do and you're confronted with Kopites trying to get a rise out of you the best thing to say will be "fair play, ye deserved it". That will stop them dead in their tracks they'll realize that they are wasting their time with you..Nah, that's not inappropriate, that's awesome.
Sort of football-related: I'm having a massive anxiety attack right now because of the City game and I hate it and I just want this stupid bloody season to be over because I'm scared of what I'll do to myself if Liverpool win the league.

It's the money that's turning me off, I used to watch every game that was on the telly, these days I only watch Everton. Maybe as my boys get older I'll get back to it a bit but I hate the amounts of money being splashed around on bang average players.Or "I, for one, welcome our red overlords." lol
Tbh a lot of things are making me grow increasingly fed up with football, not just that lot across the park.
Oh, I do know nice Liverpool supporters. I have no problem with them. I follow a couple on Twitter. I don't see little kids in Liverpool shirts and think 'ugh, I hate you.' A LOT of it is to do with my Space obsession - it's hard to explain. I don't think ALL Liverpool supporters are evil, same with Man United, I'm not that crazy. I've always supported the HJC too. It's more some kind of nameless terror that lives in my head, and the fear of getting bullied by people I care about, people I want to like me, even though I'd never do the same thing to them. I take it very personally. And I got bullied a lot as a kid and part of it was over football. I also got triggered into self-harming by a couple of Liverpool fans on Twitter a couple of years ago. This is where we have to bust out the old “it’s just a game” cliche.
I know a lot on here hate that lot and it’s fun - for those who don’t get genuinely anxious about the outcome - to cheer on City/Liverpool’s opponents on here, etc. As one poster already pointed out though, it’ll happen soon enough if not this year. When it does happen, though, there’ll be a lot of friends and family members of blues who will be happy about it!
I’m sure we’ll all get a bit fed up with their crowing when it comes to pass, but there’s really nothing to be worried about. Watch out in the crowds for smiling kids and old folks and whatever else it will take to humanise this “them” you have in your head that you’ve demonised and see as some massive evil being.
My mum's the same. She just got fed up with it. She hates what it's become.

When I get stressed or panicky, or when I'm PMSing, things that are normally annoying get blown out of proportion. I think the anxiety attack I had last night was PMS. I was on edge all day at work because I've had to change my working routine and moved to a new office, and I do not cope well with change.
Twitter is still the best form of social media imo.I’m sure it’s far more nuanced than I suggested, and therefore controlling your anxiety is far easier said than done.
One thing that MANY posters have said in here - and I can vouch through personal experience that it helps - is that you should bin Twitter. It’s an absolute cesspool full of the worst types of people and it gives you the impression that it’s far more representative of society as a whole than it actually is. You’d be surprised how relatively bell-free the world seems without Twitter...

Just follow people worth following and bin the rest
Oh yay. Anxiety attack time again because of you know who.
I think this is going to be my last season as a football fan because I am at the end of my sodding tether.
If Liverpool winning makes you feel that bad then maybe a break from football is what you need.. having seen that result I feel exactly the same as I did before.. I couldn't care less.I can't stop crying. This is pathetic.
