He been declining for past 2 seasons off field antics have made me go off his personality but I wouldn't use that for judging him on he field

I judge him by his ability and its been mediocre for two seasons glad he is going because it means we have to replace him

All players have to go some time no matter who they are, fact of football life.
 

The whole Milkman affair was funny though. That bird mustve been proper stupid to think he was a milkman and didnt he also claim to be a tour de france cyclist too
 
Elong in being a bad tit shocker.

Personally dont like the blokes personality, especially with him being involved with a lot of the behind the scenes drama this Season. We should never have been relying on a 36yr old CB the way we have IMO, this season for him has been disasterous. We definitely got our £5m worth.

Thought he was our best defender last season tbh

He has been more erratic this season but even then put in a few good performances. His flaws have been left more exposed but our midfield hasn't done as good a job protecting the defenders either.

See I can't tell if you're saying that for levity or you're back-pedaled hard and are falling on an honest mistake -- an incredibly rare one at that. I've seen Baines play an underhit back pass that's lead to a goal, the Besic backheel, Lukaku miscontrol and it lead to an opposition goal etc etc. Albeit none in such a big game, but if you're saying that the occasion overrides the honesty of a mistake and leaves it fair game for hatred then I'd say you're being very, very harsh.
 
He isn't a starter anymore. He won't be here next season. Not picking on his personality as that doesn't interest me. I found it difficult to rate him as a top centre back as I felt he was prone to way too many mistakes. I think he had 1 or 2 very good seasons but the others were mistake ridden to be called anything near a top center back. How he got on moysies team sheet sometimes baffled me. I remember he made something like 5 horrible mistakes in 5 matches a number of years ago that lead to 5 goals and kept making the starting 11. Won't be a loss to the squad as far as I'm concerned.
