Let’s just get this guy signed up in jan. Being on loan can’t be that settling from a players perspective. Plus it’s more negotiating to do in the summer when I’d suggest we’d have better things to do. Let’s be proactive this time and not bid for rojo on deadline day
 
He might be the most crucial player in the squad currently. The midfield is so so bad and Coleman is such a downgrade at moving the ball forward and linking with the forwards that not playing Sidibe probably cuts our attacking threat in half. At least on the left Baines is a reasonably able replacement for Digne in possession. When Coleman plays for Sidibe the right side falls apart and with the middle guaranteed to be messy we are left with just one side to move the ball forward.

And he's quickly become our best creative player. He's vital right now.

Why rush it? What happens if he picks up a long term injury before the summer and we’re then stuck with him. Considering we already have a clause there’s not much point in not waiting.

Yes good point. Also we would more likely be paying more wages. Thought of that after I posted it! I think I’m just after proactive decisions rather than the reactive rubbish we’ve had for years
 
What on earth was he playing at at the end? Just needs to put it in the area not pass it along the back line and put us under pressure ffs(n)
 

Didnt like the way he give up on the one that Jesus hit the post on,dive in tackling even if you dont make it,anyway it was always going to be a big test today

Can´t excuse some of his defending. Real lower league stuff and there´s no need for it because he´s clearly a decent player. Purely down to concentration and being bothered.

Yeah, a lot of it is just being rash.

You can see the quality he can produce, the cross for Dom against Burnley was great and he's quick and strong so he's really useful in that sense but, as you said, careless lapses in concentration. Much the same as Digne on the other side to be honest.

Its why I think long term Carlo would best be suited playing a 5-3-2 giving us more solidity at the back.

To do that though requires quality in the middle and atleast one top class CF.

We saw today when you dont its a slog.
